What Is Krishna Trayodashi and What Is Pradosh?

Krishna Trayodashi is the thirteenth lunar day of the waning fortnight, sacred to Shiva. It underlies Pradosh Vrat, observed in the twilight window (pradosha kala) around sunset when Trayodashi is current. The vrata is kept on both the waxing and waning Trayodashi, and a Saturday Pradosh is called Shani Pradosh. On Sadhaka, Trayodashi is framed as a twilight rhythm of purification and surrender rather than a deterministic prediction.
