What Is Krishna Chaturthi and What Is Sankashti Chaturthi?

Krishna Chaturthi is the fourth lunar day of the waning fortnight, also presided by Ganesha. It is observed as Sankashti Chaturthi, a fast kept until moonrise and dedicated to the removal of difficulties (sankashti means distress or crisis). The Krishna Chaturthi of Magha is Angaraki Sankashti when it falls on a Tuesday, considered especially significant. On Sadhaka, the day is presented as a recurring contemplative marker for releasing obstruction, not as predictive certainty.
