गामाविश्य च भूतानि धारयाम्यहमोजसा | पुष्णामि चौषधीः सर्वाः सोमो भूत्वा रसात्मकः || १३ ||
gām āviśya ca bhūtāni dhārayāmy aham ojasā puṣṇāmi cauṣadhīḥ sarvāḥ somo bhūtvā rasātmakaḥ
gām—the earth; āviśya—entering into; ca—also; bhūtāni—all living beings; dhārayāmi—sustain; aham—I; ojasā—by My energy; puṣṇāmi—nourish; ca—and; auṣadhīḥ—vegetables; sarvāḥ—all; somaḥ—the moon; bhūtvā—becoming; rasātmakaḥ—supplying the juice.
“Entering the earth, I sustain all living beings with My energy, and becoming the moon filled with sap, I nourish all plants.”
The Lord here speaks of the cosmic function He performs through nature. The earth's gravitational force that holds all beings, the nourishing sap that flows through plants drawn from moonlight and moisture—these are not mere natural phenomena but expressions of divine will sustaining creation. Recognizing this transforms ecology into theology and stewardship into worship.
