Multi-Tradition Commentary
This verse is an invitation to humility before the infinite. No catalogue — however extensive — can exhaust the manifestations of the Absolute. The wise student receives the examples given not as a complete list to be memorized but as a training in perception — a way of seeing that, once internalized, allows the sacred to be recognized everywhere, endlessly.
Practical Application (Modern Life)
The spiritual life is not a finite subject to be mastered and then set aside. It is an endless unfolding. Every new level of understanding reveals a further horizon. Rather than finding this daunting, find it liberating: there is always more beauty, more depth, more wonder available, no matter how far you have traveled.
