प्रह्लादश्चास्मि दैत्यानां कालः कलयतामहम् | मृगाणां च मृगेन्द्रोऽहं वैनतेयश्च पक्षिणाम् || ३० ||

prahlādaḥ—Prahlada; ca—also; asmi—I am; daityānām—of the Daityas; kālaḥ—time; kalayatām—of all that subdues; aham—I am; mṛgāṇām—of animals; ca—and; mṛga-indraḥ—the lion; aham—I am; vainateyaḥ—Garuda; ca—also; pakṣiṇām—of birds.
“Of the Daityas I am the devoted Prahlada; of reckoners I am Time; of beasts I am the lion; of birds I am the eagle Garuda.”
Prahlada — born into a family of demons yet unshakably devoted to Vishnu from infancy — represents the triumph of divine love over birth, circumstance, and even persecution. His identification as the highest of the Daityas shows that genuine devotion can arise anywhere, regardless of background, family, or social position. The Divine is no respecter of lineage.

Your circumstances — however difficult, however unsupportive the people around you — cannot ultimately prevent the soul's orientation toward truth if that orientation is sincere and unwavering. Circumstances are conditions, not determinants.
