Multi-Tradition Commentary

Bhaktivedanta Swami (Gaudiya Vaishnavism)

The integration of worldly duty and spiritual remembrance is the supreme teaching. Krishna does not ask Arjuna to abandon the battlefield and sit in a cave. He asks him to fight—to engage fully with life's demands—while maintaining the thread of inner remembrance. This is the genius of Karma Yoga fused with Bhakti.

Practical Application (Modern Life)

Do not fragment your life into 'spiritual time' and 'ordinary time.' The practice is continuous remembrance—whatever you are doing, bring a portion of awareness to the witness, the Source, the Divine. This integration is the most advanced and most practical teaching in the Gītā.
