श्रीभगवानुवाच | मय्यासक्तमनाः पार्थ योगं युञ्जन्मदाश्रयः | असंशयं समग्रं मां यथा ज्ञास्यसि तच्छृणु || १ ||
śrī-bhagavān uvāca mayy āsakta-manāḥ pārtha yogaṁ yuñjan mad-āśrayaḥ asaṁśayaṁ samagraṁ māṁ yathā jñāsyasi tac chṛṇu
śrī-bhagavān uvāca—the Supreme Lord said; mayi—to Me; āsakta-manāḥ—mind attached; pārtha—O son of Pritha; yogam—yoga; yuñjan—practicing; mat-āśrayaḥ—taking refuge in Me; asaṁśayam—without doubt; samagram—completely; mām—Me; yathā—how; jñāsyasi—you shall know; tat—that; śṛṇu—hear.
“The Supreme Lord said: O son of Pritha, hear now how, by practicing yoga with the mind fixed on Me and taking refuge in Me, you shall know Me completely, without any doubt.”
Chapter 7 opens with a promise: complete, undoubted knowledge of the Infinite is possible. The conditions are 'mayi āsakta-manāḥ' (mind attached to Me) and 'mad-āśrayaḥ' (taking refuge in Me). This is not blind faith but a total reorientation of one's entire inner life toward the Supreme.
Begin each day by consciously redirecting the mind's habitual attractions toward the Divine. Whatever you are drawn to—beauty, knowledge, relationships—practise seeing Krishna as their source. This sustained re-orientation is itself the yoga promised here.
